Where young players soar

Indoor Hockey

The indoor format of hockey is fun, fast paced and incredibly good for skills development.

Hawks run an indoor hockey program from Autumn to Spring, with professional coaching which focuses on making the game fun and inclusive.

Indoor hockey complements our other outdoor formats in a number of ways, with players able to stretch their skills. The main things we look to achieve for the children by having an indoor program include:

Competition

There are numerous indoor hockey competitions we can take part in. These are normally large scale with lots of teams from across the country and a great experience to be part of.

Depending on numbers, we enter teams across multiple age groups to test their skills against other clubs and try to bring silverware back to the Hawks trophy cabinet.

Skills development

Whether we have a team in a competition or not, indoor hockey makes players trap fast, pass fast and thing fast, which is perfect for developing core hockey skills in young players.

To help our players who want to get better at hockey in general, some indoor hockey during the year helps them sharpen these skills and, because of the conditions, is fun and dry all year round.

Details on our indoor hockey program are available to club members and they will be able to signup via the membership area at the relevant points in the season. If you have any questions, please email: [email protected]
