Summer Hockey Term 2025 – Guest & newcomers guide
Thank you for considering coming and playing some hockey at Hawks over the summer. Whether you play your hockey at another club or a school, or whether you are new to the sport or to club hockey, we welcome you to come and take part in the term.
Please above all pop us an email [email protected] to let us know you are coming or ask any questions. We would hate the kids to turn up and everyone looking at them like “who’s that?”
Once you’ve let us know (or decided you like the element of surprise), please follow the below process to register and take part.
Step 1 – Signup to take part
We take health & safety, safeguarding and communication more seriously than hockey (and we take that really seriously), so ask that everyone taking part in hockey at Hawks registers on our system.
We will ask you to complete an online registration form in which we gather key details about the players coming to the summer term. This is to ensure we have key info like any medical needs and emergency contact details.
Step 2 – Pick, signup and pay for session
Once you have signed will be added to the relevant area in our membership system called “MyClubHouse”. This will then present you with the sessions available, and you can use the website signup to attend those.
To complete the signup to a session, you will be asked to pay £6 for that session in advance.
IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED CLUB HOCKEY – PLEASE WRITE TO US AND WE’LL ALLOCATE YOU SOME TRIAL SESSIONS
We hope that everyone will:
– Only signup to sessions they are sure they can attend (there will be a limited number of spaces at each session, please don’t hog session spaces then not attend so someone else misses out)
– Try to signup at least 1 week in advance so we can plan accordingly (you can signup even further in advance, that would be awesome)
– Make sure you complete the payment process
– Cancel your attendance as far in advance as possible, so anyone on a waiting list gets a chance to take your place (cancellations will sit as a credit in your account, rather than a refund. These can be used for any future purchase at Hawks HC)
Step 3 – Turn-up, learn, practice & compete
Each week provides opportunity for coached practice sessions based on core skills of hockey and options to come and play matches.
There are 3 sessions available to all age groups (older than Under 8), you might do 3 a week, you might do 1 a week, or you might just play a couple of games over the whole summer for a run around.
If your child is in School Years 1-3, they will have access to our Sunday morning session only.
Let’s get started
Use the button below to go to MyClubHouse and register. Once that is complete, allow some time to be added to the summer squad, after which you can start booking on to sessions.
NOTE ABOUT THE FORM – It looks like you are signing up as a Hawks Member, apologies for the terminology, there’s no obligation to become a full member. When completing the form it will ask for you to choose a membership category, please choose “Summer Guest” from the dropdown menu.
