Welcome to Hawks Hockey Club, we are an excellent, fun, inclusive junior focused hockey club based between East Grinstead and Crawley in Sussex.
Hawks Hockey Club in Sussex has been formed as a club for young hockey players from the age of 5-18, which provides high-quality coaching & competition for children either looking to try the sport for the firs time, existing players who want a fun junior focused environment to enjoy hockey and those more performance focused young hockey players who wish to push their playing ability.
Without the challenges of traditional clubs, who have to manage the needs of a range of membership types, Hawks Hockey Club can stay focused on our vision to help develop 1000’s of young junior hockey players, allowing them to reach their full potential and have a lifelong passion for hockey.

Our Leadership
Hawks Hockey Club was formed with an idea from one of the UK’s leading junior hockey coaches, Calum Giles.
Having moved to take on the Director of Hockey role at a school in Sussex, Calum could not find a suitable hockey club to recommend to his students, and so the idea to form a junior focused hockey club was born.
Combining with an experienced club operational leadership team, Hawks set about establishing a club to serve the needs of young players and follow a trend for investing in junior hockey at club level. Learn more about the Hawks Hockey Club leadership team here.
Teams and Age Groups
Young players get the most from hockey if they can play in teams of same age players. As they get older, they prefer and need to play with others of a similar ability.
As a junior focused hockey club, Hawks know exactly how to make up teams to help young players reach their potential. We have teams from Under 8 to Under 18, who receive age and ability appropriate coaching and competition.
Hawks believe that young players need to be having fun to learn. If they are having fun they are more engaged and that alone allows them to absorb information to improve in their hockey. So our teams balance age, ability and above all making sure the children enjoy themselves.
